Pulling divine strings
Was listening to a sermon by Joel Osteen, who by the way is one of my favourite ministers. He captioned it "pulled strings". It got me thinking about the lengths we go to achieve things, the boots we lick, the compromises, the relationships we keep, the sacrifices we make just so somebody can pull some strings to our favour. In the workplace, we fight dirty, slander people, give bribes, have affairs, even bow at evil alters just to get ahead. But child of God.....remember tha ... t your God is the greatest string puller.....he is the piper who dictates his own tune. He can manipulate anybody or anything to follow his purpose. The Bible says in Proverbs 21:1that " The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will".So why do you have to go to extreme lengths to get blessings that are already in your Father's hands. Forget the politics and dirty games,Put that situation in His hands and leave it there..
